| As far as we can investigate, it is now really difficult to say about music what the phoenix once said in Voltaire's 'The Princess of Babylon': "Sir, it is twenty seven thousand nine hundred years and seven months that I have been on earth; I have never before seen anything quite similar to what you make me hear." It has become apparent to us that, for a number of years, everything has been done in music and the music of Ultraphonist is maybe the oldest (and yet the most heard) in the world. 'Discover the antistress with...' is only about amplification or variations of the inner music of our body: the singing tones of bones, heart and chest and nothing more. 'Discover the Antistress with ...' presents a sound that has to be experienced not only by the ears. When listened to at the right volume level, the almost everpresent bass and the resonance it invokes create a very physical experience. Intentional cracks, almost unhearable sounds, an occasional shy and minimal beat, vibrating and echoing bass loops, ..., all together they force the listener into an intense and at the same time relaxed state of mind, shattered only once or twice by sudden outbursts of higher pulses. Don't hesitate to undergo the experiment. Ultraphonist is a new musical project by Marc Moedea and Gabriel Séverin. The two also collaborate on Jardin d'Usure (Sub Rosa) and Silk Saw (Sub Rosa, Ant-Zen). This release is limited to 500 numbered copies. The CD comes in a slim transparent case, fitted in a cardboard wrapping. Included with the CD is a textured black and white photograph made by Caroline Eggermont, entitled 'Herbasplit', as well as a slide with a graphical poem made by Bart Bosmans, called 'Power'. To view the poem you need a slide projector. 'Discover the antistress with...' was recorded at the 'Laboratoire central' and is mastered by Metarc. Read the press reviews.
