'Release the object' is Object's fascinating debut album. Minimal, refined sounds evolve into to repetitive rythmic patterns and complex sound structures. This is indeed the sound of the object: music seen as a repetitive series of events and objects within a unique musical space.

Although minimalism is a dominant aspect of this release, it can't be defined as the most important factor. For Object, minimalism is a means to an end, not an end in itself. The outcome is an experimental but very musical album.

One can find similarities of 'Release the object' in, for instance, the works of Ultraphonist and Ryoji Ikeda. However, Object's ecclectic and specific taste for composition provides this album with a distinct, unique sound. The album was mastered by Metarc studios.

This CD is limited to 500 numbered copies. It comes in a slim transparent case, fitted in a cardboard wrapping. Included with the CD is a color reproduction of a painting made by Ela Stasiuk, as well as a slide designed by Submedia, called 'Nodes'. To view the slide you need an appropriate projector.
