FOtones 16.0

  • Petersonic (B - Nisan): unveils his debut Touch#6, a straight-up nasty album bursting with fragmented beats, cinematic soundscapes and bass tunes built to twist your head.
  • The Ghost in the Apartment (B - Foton): a 100% improvisation between Peter Van Hoesen (aka Object/Vanno), Marc Roesems (aka Individual) and Jo Vernaillen (aka Lowdjo), combining turntables and samplers to build a full-frequency wall of sound.
  • ThinKing (UK): helped to set up the music company Multiverse (owners of the Vertical Sound and Subtext labels) and manages Drum & Breaks, Zoo and Tectonics. His dj-sets go from broken beats to full-on bass heavy dubstep.
  • Drop the lime (USA - Ambush, Tigerbeat6, Electroviolence): a dagger in the sound of our pop music heartthrob. Twisting rave, hardcore punk and grimey drum'n'bass into raw basslines and vivisected rhythms.
  • Rotator (FR - Peace off, Damage, Broklyn beats): created Peace Off back in 1999, inspired by other labels like Ambush, Praxis, DHR and Bloody Fist. Rotator produces an extreme sound, made out of hard noise, breakcore and saturated jungle.
  • Antz (B - Foton): life is a joke, so are musical styles and conventions. Expect an ultra-energetic unscrew-your-head & move-your-booty speedraggabreakdeathmashupravecore set.
  • Genoflex (B - L'écurie, Plexiphonic): stands for advanced video mixing. Using various layers, he catches sound and bends the screen with it. Waves as signs and structures, a universe of colors glued to your eyes and mind.
